Member Testimonials

Sirianni

After graduating from U of O Dental school in 1964, and a newlywed, my wife Marilyn and I decided to set up our practice in Milwaukie, Oregon. To my surprise the first person to come into my office was a local colleague, Dr. Orville Boyle. He wasn’t there for dental care. He brought in a beautiful flower arrangement and welcomed me to the community and invited me to attend the Clackamas Co. Dental Society’s monthly meeting.

That invitation began a lifetime membership in organized Dentistry for me. At that meeting Dr. Boyle introduced me to other CCDS members and invited me to be on an ODA committee, which I accepted. Over the years I have had the privilege to serve on several ODA and CCDS committees, including serving as CCDS president two times.

The comradery that I experienced with CCDS colleagues, study clubs, and activities, were a huge reason for my happiness and enjoyment I experienced in dentistry. Tripartite membership, ADA, ODA, and CCDS has meant a great deal to me. I would encourage all my colleagues to participate as I have.

Over the past decade and beyond, CCDS has been an invaluable part of my professional growth and development as a dentist. Through a multitude of continuing education courses, the chance to connect with outstanding colleagues, and the exploration of leadership opportunities, my journey with CCDS has been nothing short of extraordinary.

One of the most remarkable aspects of my CCDS membership has been the wealth of continuing education courses that I have had the privilege to participate in. The society's commitment to offering high-quality and up-to-date educational resources has kept me at the forefront of the latest advancements in dentistry. These courses have not only expanded my knowledge base but have also equipped me with the tools and techniques necessary to provide the best possible care for my patients. CCDS's dedication to lifelong learning has undoubtedly elevated my practice and enriched my professional journey.

Beyond the exceptional educational opportunities, CCDS has introduced me to a network of incredible colleagues. The society's events and gatherings have provided a platform for me to connect with like-minded professionals who share a passion for dentistry. The relationships I have cultivated through CCDS have not only enriched my professional life but have also fostered a sense of camaraderie and collaboration that I hold dear. The ability to exchange ideas, share experiences, and engage in meaningful discussions with fellow members has been instrumental in my growth as a dentist.

In addition to education and networking, CCDS has given me the chance to explore and embrace leadership opportunities that I may not have encountered elsewhere. The society's commitment to nurturing emerging leaders has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, take on new challenges, and contribute to the betterment of the dental community. Through my involvement in various leadership roles within CCDS, I have developed skills that extend far beyond dentistry, shaping me into a more effective communicator, organizer, and advocate.

Reflecting on my journey with Clackamas County Dental Society, I can unequivocally say that I am a proud member. The society's unwavering dedication to the growth and success of its members has been the cornerstone of my professional development. CCDS has not only provided a platform for continuous learning but has also fostered a sense of belonging within a community of exceptional individuals.

As I look ahead to the future, I am excited to continue my partnership with Clackamas County Dental Society and eagerly anticipate the countless opportunities for learning, connection, and leadership that lie ahead. To anyone considering membership, I wholeheartedly endorse CCDS as a catalyst for professional growth, camaraderie, and personal fulfillment.
